DESCRIPTION
Fieldworks Design Group was employed to establish a distinct architectural identity throughout this popular guest house located in the Limpopo Province. The use of sustainable and up cycled materials aided in the creation of architectural and landscape architectural elements. The project fosters a strong relationship between indoor and outdoor spaces, as the revised layout and facade alterations promotes seamless visual and pedestrian flow. The interior is comprised of punchy colours, warm lighting and strategic placement of fun feature elements, while durability and low maintenance were key consideration in developing the material palette for both indoor and outdoor areas. Biodiversity and micro-climatic conditions are improved through the conversion of the existing swimming pool to a natural swimming pool which acts as both a functional and feature element within the landscape.
